Scholarships

At GPAL, one of our core focuses is education and supporting the futures of our youth. We are proud to offer scholarships to eligible students to support their journey into higher education.

We currently offer two scholarships: Just A Kid Scholarship and Teen Court Scholarship.

You can learn more about the scholarships and how to apply by scrolling down.

If you are interested in donating to our scholarship program feel free to contact our Vice Chair, Tytiana McWhorter via email at tytianam@gpalfoundation.org

Just A Kid Scholarship

The "Just A Kid" Scholarship is inspired by Garon Lewis. Garon tragically lost his life before his final year of high school. He was robbed of his opportunity to pursue a career in nursing, so we will do our part and assist youth with the same career goal.

This scholarship is for all graduating seniors who are seeking a degree or certification, but preference will be given to those pursing a degree or certification in nursing. The other eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • GPA of 2.5 or higher

  • Submit a completed application packet by deadline (May 6th, 2022)

You can send your completed application to gpalfoundation1202@gmail.com

Your application will be reviewed by GPAL's Executive Board. Recipients selected to receive the scholarship will be notified on or before June 1st. If you have any questions about the scholarship, you can email us at gpalfoundation1202@gmail.com.
